On this day, we stand in gratitude for the bravery and dedication of all our diverse veterans. Your courage and commitment have shaped the world we live in—our endless thanks!
Please come out for RADfest 1.0 for a weekend of art, resilience, and community as we celebrate the soft reopening of Asheville's River Arts District. The event will take place on Saturday, November 9th, and Sunday, November 10th from 12-6 both days. Go HERE for details. Cheers!
We were just learning about this great option for some homeowners and renters who may have been displaced by the storm. As a renter who has been struggling with a downpayment this may be an opportunity to get into a home. We would be happy to connect you. Cheers!

Your piece of paradise begins with this stunning, custom, energy-efficient contemporary home overlooking pastoral nature with views to Mt. Pisgah. The home marries earth & sky with its heat-gaining foundation perched on a south-facing knoll to the expansive windows & sky views. Solar panels collect usable energy while the floor captures & releases the heat. The one-level home features a split bedroom plan centered by a great room that flows to the outside in two directions. The windows to the south overlook an extensive patio & koi pond with waterfalls & dramatic landscaping. To the North is a screened porch linked to a lush shade garden. The primary suite sits to the west past a private office & laundry/mudroom. The East wing features another bedroom ensuite, 3rd bedroom, meditation room & pet room linked to an outdoor fenced area. The acreage features a natural pond, meditation circle, two out-buildings, extensive landscaping, growing gardens & orchard. Ask us for a list of features.

Are you struggling with sorting all the avenues for disaster and housing relief? Legal Aid NC can help you as a one-stop place to both get help and offer help. Check out their helpful page of resources HERE.
Also, we have heard so many heart-warming stories about how contractors have come from near and far to help people during these past two weeks. We are here for that! Thank you. That being said, human nature has a flip side. There are those out there who can take advantage of innocent people. We would suggest taking a moment to process what you are hearing from someone and follow the tips HERE, also from Legal Aid of North Carolina.
We’ve been following many ways to support Asheville. This way, from Explore Asheville, caught our eye given all the small businesses and artists who have been affected during our peak season.
“In the wake of Hurricane Helene, many beloved Asheville and Buncombe County businesses have been deeply affected by the storm. While the community comes together to rebuild, you can lend a helping hand from afar by shopping at these businesses' online stores or contributing to fundraising efforts.
Local, independent businesses are the heart of Asheville, home to growers who are artists and artists whose work grows. Thought leaders and thought provokers, musicians and storytellers, entrepreneurs and educators, foodies and beer lovers, hippies, healers, adventurers, creators and innovators. We craft and brew and paint and carve, handcrafted by real hands. Real hands that need a helping hand. And a hug.”
Go HERE to shop and support. Cheers!
There are many sources with different information on water restoration. The one I found most helpful is Asheville Watchdog here. The overall advice I’m seeing is the following. The only addition I’ve seen out there from friends and plumbers is to run water through your outdoor hose bid rather than your tub to start.
What to do before water service returns:
Flip off the breaker to your water heater.
Turn off water to your water heater.
Turn off hot water under your sinks.
Remove aerator (it typically unscrews) on faucets.
Turn off the ice maker.
Turn off water to your whole house filter, if you have one.
What to do when your water service returns
Flush your home plumbing by running the bathtub’s cold water faucet.
Your water heater may be turned back on once your home’s plumbing has been flushed.
It’s safe to flush your toilet after completing steps 1 and 2.
We are so excited to bring this breathtaking property

I’ve had many friends and family ask how they can help from a distance. Where can they contribute? Here are some of the places I’ve seen being affective or close to my own heart. BeLoved Asheville is an energetic and well run machine. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their efforts at this time. Go HERE to donate. Blue Ridge Public Radio has a list of great places taking donation. See that HERE. Near and dear to my own heart is help for our artist community which was particularly hard hit. They are a part of what makes Asheville the vibrant and creative town it is. Go HERE to help them. Any help anywhere is great. Pick what works for you. Cheers!
