We are deep into Fall and have had some near freezing temps here which means fireplaces are back in use. I know that is true at Kelly’s home and my own. We both love the clean and simple drama of our mid-century fireplaces. Kelly’s is stone leading up to a vaulted post and beam ceiling and ours is asymmetrical patterned, painted brick surrounded by tongue and groove walls. Today, most of the modern mountain homes we are seeing are inspired by midcentury design.
