We already felt super proud of successfully navigating the roller coaster year of 2022. That was the cake. Now for the icing! {Yeah!} We are both humbled and proud to be part of the Top 100 with our peers once again. Cheers to us and all those around us who helped us get here! We start 2023 with a ton of gratitude.
Asheville has a rich architectural history. Henry Gaines and Richard Sharp Smith are a couple from early last century. As far as midcentury architects few were as prominent as Bert King (J. Bertram King) from the 50’s to the 80’s. This 1966 home has great contemporary bones and a lovely mountain view location. It could be fun to live in as it is, but likely most people today would like some strategic updates. We would love to walk you through it.
Here is how the listing agents describe it. “Situated in the desirable neighborhood of Kimberly Woods sits a stunning 1966 Bert King home filled with charm and original details. This classic mid-century modern home offers true 1960s style with a sunken light-filled living room with a floor-to-ceiling original fireplace and sliding doors with deck access, a step-up kitchen with a formal dining room, a unique lower-level space with original wall paneling and original fireplace, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an attached two car carport, a new deck, and updated roof. Tucked away on a spacious well-maintained lot with mature landscaping, this property serves as a private oasis only 10 minutes to bustling downtown Asheville.
Kelly and I have toured this home for a couple of times. We would love to help steward this special home forward into this century. Give us a call for more information or a tour.
Happy Sunday! Whether you follow color trends or not it is always interesting to see what comes up every year with home decor and home fashions. The last few years black and grays have dominated it seems, however, pinks, plumbs and beiges have snuck back in from our memories of the 1980’s. Regardless of how you feel about that do enjoy these two perspectives from a couple of our local paint companies here and here. Cheers!
Congrats to our long term buyers for closing on this cute and clean investment property. The sale just seemed meant to be from the start with both the buyers and the sellers being on top of everything making this a smooth way to cap off our 2022 last week. We love helping our clients with their real estate portfolio. Cheers to you!
Give us a call to help you with your own buying and selling of Asheville real estate. We love helping!

Merry Christmas! We are wishing you and your families a {hopefully} warm holiday weekend. Know we are thinking of you. Cheers! Kelly and Troy
Kelly and I were mesmerized by the holiday imagery of Geoffrey Hudson as seen above. Scroll through his facebook page and see some of his freakish and fun retro imagery he has created. The left of center images put a smile on our faces. Enjoy!
Yeah! We are so happy for our buyers who just closed on this amazing Lakeview Park home just a block from beautiful Beaver Lake. Our out of state clients are thrilled with their new local nest where they can live and work so comfortably. And we love gaining new friends and neighbors here in North Asheville. Cheers to you!
I know we have a small handful of vintage holiday items including a large 1960’s plastic snowman named Thirsty we bring out every year. For some of us midcentury decor is simply nostalgic and what we think of as Christmas. Our friends at Atomic Ranch have found sources for a few other popular items from this era. Enjoy scouting for those here. Know we are wishing you a wonderful and festive holiday week. Cheers!
Yeah! Congrats to our excited sellers! The sale of their loved and mindfully updated home couldn’t have gone quicker or smoother. The family had originally hired Samsel Architects to expand this rancher making it into the cool crafted family home it is today. They have made a lot of memories here. Now, having garnered a bit over list price, they are able to move their family to a new locally community they love and found an architectural contemporary home for their new nest. Thank you for letting us be a part of this one. Happy, Happy! Cheers to you!
