December marked the end of an amazing year for us. We are super proud of how we navigated ‘21. Now that we are full steam into 2022 it feels good to stop and put an exclamation mark on our past year. Cheers to us and all who rode the wave with us! Gratitude.
We are excited to bring this artfully updated home to the market. Live, work and play in this cool mountain contemporary in desirable north Asheville with mountain views and rental/in-law suite options. The sophisticated and playful mountain home lives like a treehouse floating in the woods with year round mountain views and winter views of the Asheville skyline. The open main level has a vaulted living room with loft anchored by a stone fireplace. The primary bedroom is on the main level, too! The upper level has two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings centered by a bonus loft space. Lower level with 2nd fireplace can be 4th bedroom suite, rental or a cozy place for your in-laws. Hang out in nature on the private mountain view deck, built in stone seating and the flat main level area for walking your pups or creating a sculpture garden. Located privately on a one acre wooded lot it is only 1 mile from the Grove Park Inn and 3 miles to downtown. Come and explore all the layers of this cool home!
Shown above is the currently permitted short term stay apartment on the lower level.
Architect William Moore, featured in North Carolina Modernist Homes and designed the local Unitarian Church on Charlotte St, originally constructed this home for him and his family. Once he completed the home he sold the plans to be duplicated and the home was featured in Southern Living Magazine as seen in the images below.
Give us a shout for more information or to schedule a personal tour. Showings begin Saturday, January 17th. In the mean time view the virtual tour here and see the preview video below. Cheers! Kelly and Troy

We love our vintage homes in Asheville designed by late architect J. Bertram King. We especially love when they, themselves, have been loved over the years and have been mindfully updated while maintaining their original integrity and modernizing for today. Randy and Don’s house is exactly one of those homes expertly stewarded by them. We wrote about the 1959 California styled, midcentury home back in 2010 (I can’t believe it has been that long) and today Joanne O’Sullivan at WNC Magazine has caught up with them in this article here. Please enjoy and have a great Monday. And if you want to take a deeper dive into the world of Bert King visit our facebook page here. Cheers!
