Hey there! We're always keeping an eye on what our designer and builder pals are cooking up. Asheville's like a perpetual construction party, and honestly, it's a bit of a challenge keeping track of all the new builds. Our buddy Ross Smith just got some well-deserved recognition in Carolina Home and Garden mag, showcasing this cool design for a home in Weaverville. Imagine a whole series of outdoor hangout spots, taking advantage of the hillside and our awesome mountain lifestyle. If you're curious check out the full scoop HERE by Paul Howey. Cheers to good design and mountain living!

Yeah! Congrats to our happy buyers. The young family moved from out-of-state to Hendersonville and was anxious to find a home in this competitive price point and market. They were attracted to the Hendersonville area but didn’t want to make a huge financial leap at first. Buying this townhome to live in now and converting it to an investment property later was a smart way to begin their journey here in WNC. Cheers to you!

And a special thanks to our fellow KW agents for referring us to these buyers. We appreciate your help with our business!

Design Trends on the Way Out

As 2023 comes to a close some design trends may be making their way out. Perhaps you don’t follow trends? We love watching them, but our design-minded clients give us their own insight. For instance, our clients are divided on having open or sectioned floor plans. Some want light and bright open spaces while others like separation and privacy. When it comes to color it is a mix as well. Some like the clean neutrals we have seen for so long and others like bold and dramatic colors. Most of our folks tend to personalize their spaces with their own art and eclectic furnishings helping tell their own story with their home. Want to dig a bit deeper? Architectural Digest has shared some more thoughts here.

Enjoy and Happy New Year!

Here is a brief of the actual article: “Among the trends falling out of favor is the "blob boom," making way for a resurgence of more structured forms. Sterile, minimalist kitchens in all-white or gray are giving way to warmer, more eclectic spaces. While open floor plans are acknowledged, in this artice Architectual Digest recommends tailoring them to individual needs, creating intimate and inviting settings. The list of farewells includes all-white and gloomy greige interiors, color-coordinated decor, non-functional objects, TV-centered living rooms, Chesterfield sofas, duped designs, and the saturation of bouclé fabric. Instead, go for purposeful and unique decor, and move towards functional and visually intriguing pieces. We’re trending towards interactive living room setups and finding alternatives to duplicated designs, exploring distinctive pieces from emerging designers or reputable vintage sources. As you gracefully bid adieu to outdated trends, be sure to embrace a fresh perspective while remaining authentic to your personal style in the dynamic landscape of interior design.
